Great title, right?
Does your dog ever snack out of the cat box? Do you ever wonder why they are always seemingly looking for snacks? Just this morning out at Lake Lowell, Jessie showed up with an old dead fish and later a dead squirrel in her mouth. From what I understand, they are looking for protein. Maybe what you and I are feeding our pets is deficient in protein and they are supplementing. Ah, supplementing on Kitty Rocha? NO thanks.
Well, this is not a blog about dogs, but it sort of is. Keep reading.
We, like our animals, need protein. We cannot make it like we can carbs and fats, we must eat it. And our bodies need a regular supply of a complete source, like meat, eggs and fish/seafood, to keeps us healthy. But cooking can do a number on proteins and leave you with a bunch of unused amino acids (the building blocks of protein) circulating, unused, in your blood stream. I will refer you back to Abbey’s blog from last week about protein to further explain this phenomenon (Nutrition for Strength).
Am I telling you to eat raw meat and eggs to keep from denaturing the protein?
Nope.
That being said, animals eat more instinctively than we do, even if they sometimes make poor choices. But in this case, I need to pass on a little firsthand antidote.
My nephew Spencer recently moved to Boise and he and some buddies got a place in the North End. (I still don’t get how a few young college grads can afford to live out there, but that is another story.)
Anyway, Spence is an active young man, running, basketball, golf, whatever and his diet reflects a boy of his age. So, we recommended Protefood from Standard Process as described above in Abbey’s blog, (Here it is again. Do you think it is important? Nutrition for Strength ) to fill in his protein profile, maybe 2 a day.
So let me tell you, one of Spence’s housemates has a dog, maybe like Jessie, a lab. And that dog got into Spence’s room and demolished the bottle of Protefood by chewing the cap off. He was after the real deal. That product is loaded with so much goodness even a dog can’t refuse.
Dogs get it, either feed them protein or they will find it. It is life or death for them. And us too. (Eat Like the Animals)
I know what you are thinking, “You want to sell me a supplement that drives dogs wild?” Yes!
“But I’m not a dog!” I can hear you say. “And I don’t want dog breath.”
Ok, ok I hear you. But Protefood doesn’t leave you with dog breath. Just an unbelievable source of the highest quality nutrition on the planet that fills in yours, and mine, amino acid profile. And it won’t break your bank.
Two things to consider:
1) If you don’t like the taste of meat, you have a stomach acid problem that we need to address. (Help with Stomach Acid)
2) If you want to be healthy and improve your gym workouts at the same time, Protefood is your go to.
Come and get it! We are putting an order together today, let us know if you want a bottle.
Cheers,
ks
PS- if you have a dog, put Protefood on the top shelf.
