In these recently turbulent times, socially and in the general markets, some longer-term perspective, and a look backwards, is often helpful to me. I’ll assume it will be for you too.
I have been collecting quotes for many years. Some things I find entertaining, and some instructive. We will occasionally post some of these quotes. Hopefully it will help us with our perspective. What we put into our minds matters greatly and does affect our health. Put good things into your head!
Here are Lewis’s words. Insert your favorite boogeyman where the word “bomb” goes.
“If we are going to be destroyed by an atomic bomb, let that bomb when it comes find us doing sensible and human things- praying, working, teaching, reading, listening to music, bathing the children, playing tennis, chatting to our friends over a pint and a game of darts–not huddled together like frighten sheep and thinking about bombs. They may break our bodies (a microbe can do that) but they need not dominate our minds.”
CS Lewis- “Living in the Atomic Age” (1948)

Wow, Common sense, that's a new one (lol)! If you do not believe in something higher than yourself, fear comes easily.
