Look, I get it. It is hot and miserable outside. And in some cases hot and miserable inside!
I’ll keep this brief.
Don’t hide in your house during this rather apocalyptic looking atmosphere. Heat is good for you, particularly in short doses. My friends that work outside think I’m nuts for writing this, but for those of us who don’t, we need the occasional stressor of discomfort. We need to sweat. Sweat is a powerful, natural detox. We need to ride around with the car air conditioner turned off and the windows down. Not all the time, but at least sometimes. Go for a short walk in the heat, a few minutes will do. If you are in better condition, walk longer. Expose yourself to some heat! If you are not sleeping and are feeling rather depleted, keep it on the short side. But don’t avoid the chance to sweat and adapt. This is like hot yoga without the building! Embrace it if you can, it won’t last forever.
Of course, if you have a problem with smoke, take it easy.
That’s it.
Cheers,
ks
