One of the most common questions people ask in our office is “why do you use that ‘clicky’ thing on my back instead of twisting and cracking me like my old chiropractor did?” Great question. 3 simple answers.
1) The Activator is fast. How fast? 300x faster than your body’s ability to guard against it. When a human joint is taken to tension and then pushed a little farther, like when a person is twisted and cracked, the human nervous system is put on alert, and a reactive muscle guarding will result. The body will sense a threat and react. The activator produces no such threat. The nervous system can relax and does not need to guard itself. The net result is that pressure is put on the nerves without a reactive/protective response.
2) The Activator is precise. There are numerous studies of traditional chiropractic(twisting and cracking) methods that show conclusively that the force introduced into the human body is not specific. Think about a shot gun. The lead flies in a large pattern and as the saying goes, “you don’t aim a shot gun, you point it.” The force is not well controlled. Contrast that to a deer rifle. Precision of the force is crucial or the animal runs home and your freezer is still empty. The Activator works like a rifle and the force is specific and on target, or nothing happens. The force and direction are easy to control.
3) The Activator is gentle. 60% less force is required to affect the human body. 60% less. Enough said. Your ligaments will thank you later!
Speed, precision, and gentleness combined with a reproducible analysis, make an excellent, and effective adjusting experience.
